President's Welcome
The Guernsey Scottish Association (GSA) is a recognised association of people living in the Bailiwick of Guernsey who are united by a shared interest in all things Scottish.
The Association exists to promote all things Scottish and Scottishness in Guernsey, with a central focus on important Scottish festivals such as St Andrew's Day (30th November) and Burns Supper (25th January) which are celebrated each year here in Guernsey.
We try to organise our events around a Scottish theme but these are open to everyone and not confined to Scottish people or those who are members of the GSA.
Our organisation is open to everyone to join, regardless of colour, race or religion. Membership is a simple and easy registration process involving a small annual membership fee. Please visit our MEMBERSHIP page if you would like to join.
Our membership is approaching 400 and while not everyone can attend the several social events we organise or host during the year, we try to make sure there is something for everyone in our calendar of activities. The committee is welcoming of new suggestions and we are always looking to add new events if possible. Our members views are of paramount importance in planning new activities.
This is a relaunch of our new and updated website which we hope will become a very useful addition to how we communicate to a wider audience. This site will be topical and informative providing relevant information about what is going on within the GSA, what is being planned in the future, how our dancing group are doing, reporting on past events and much more. Please add this site to your favourites on your internet explorer.
We have a LINKS page where we will post links to interesting and important sites we believe our membership will benefit from. I hope you will make good use of our site in the future and any suggestions you have which may improve our service would be most welcome.
It would be a great help if you could provide an up to date email address to the Guernsey Scottish Association. Our preferred mode of communication with our memebrs is via email and we kindly request you keep us informed if either your email or home address changes.
Please use our CONTACT US page to send any relevant communication and to keep us informed of any changes to email or personal addresses.
I would also point you in the direction of our NOTICE BOARD page which we hope will become a valuable source of interactive contact with the GSA community and beyond. Here we will actively encourage you to provide us with your own material you may wish to post on the website - but this should be of an acceptable content.
